but there is a song in my heart we once knew, a song i'll forever know, but you have forgotten...
morning we spent on the hills tasting dew, your ankles on my thigh,
our love was pure and you said mornings will last forever,
i believed you, because i am naive.
afternoon we spent running on strawberry fields barefoot,
i scratched my knee a time but you kissed it okay,
the wind slapped my face but we were okay, i thought we were okay.
but at night luna took you away,
sweet traitor, she is your mistress!
her kisses are poison,
her touch was lethal like a forbidden rose,
but you cannot stay away, she was mystery and i am common,
i remember how you left while i was asleep,
you kissed me goodbye but left the door open,
i am confused, for ado's sake,
will you come back and should i wait?
